We keep it small on purpose — every feature has to earn its place.

Questions, answered.

The honest version. No fine print.

Is this a contraceptive?

No. canihavesex.today helps you understand where you are in your cycle, but it is not birth control and won't prevent pregnancy. It isn't a substitute for medical advice — always talk to a healthcare professional about contraception.

How accurate is it?

Accuracy depends on tracking consistently — the more days you log, the clearer the picture. The app is deliberately conservative: it would rather say “not sure yet” than give a false sense of certainty. It's a guide, not a guarantee, and not medical advice.

Is my data actually private?

Yes. No ads, no third-party trackers, and your health data is never sold. The app is fully open source, so you can audit exactly what it does — or self-host it on your own server and keep your data entirely to yourself.

What's the symptothermal method?

It's a well-studied fertility-awareness method that combines two signals — your basal body temperature and cervical fluid — to estimate where you are in your cycle. We use a careful, conservative version: when the signs are unclear, the app says so instead of guessing.

Is it free to start?

Yes — every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, no card required. After that, we run it for you for $69/year or $420 once, with every feature included. If you're technical and prefer to run it on your own server, self-hosting is free forever.

Can I use it to try to conceive?

You can already use it to understand your fertile window. A dedicated try-to-conceive mode is on the way — one of the few features we're actively building.
